We carefully cultivate our roots to enhance the richness of the Friuli region and its vineyards.

Our territory

An expression of the Bosco Albano philosophy

We are a young business, but our vineyard has a long history. With love and determination we have learnt to respect the land and our roots, without ever ceasing to look to the future. We own a small unspoilt reserve where hunting is forbidden, a small haven of wine free from the frenzy and incessant pace of the bustling business world.

A borderland between two regions, covering 45 hectares of enclosed land, of which 39 are vineyards, with the production wine cellar in the centre. Here, the countryside and the vines provide wonderful landscapes that provide the backdrop to our estate.

Vineyards

A landscape for those who appreciate the countryside, wine and conviviality.

The low surrounding plains, featuring soils rich in marls and clays, make our estate an ideal place for winemaking, and one of the most evocative wineries in the area. Our vineyards have given rise to the production of wines that enhance the territory without ever compromising on quality, because every bottle is a family matter.

Midway between the Pre-Alps and the Adriatic Sea, the 45 hectares of our estate are immersed in a hilly landscape. Due to the presence of an underground aquifer, they benefit from an excellent microclimate. The soil is predominantly clayey, allowing the production of sincere and authentic wines.

A semi-aromatic white grape variety particularly suited to the territory of Friuli Venezia Giulia, thanks to its soils with a high calcareous component and the ventilated climate. This vigorous and robust grape variety is used to make Prosecco, the most famous sparkling wine in the world. A native white grape variety of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region with very ancient origins. It gives rise to wines featuring sweet and floral notes that are smooth on the palate and have excellent structure. Balanced, fresh and pleasantly persistent wines. The oldest native grape variety of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, initially grown on the Collio and Colli Orientali hills, and now widely grown also on the plains. Ribolla grapes vinified as white wine produce a fresh wine always with lively acidity, a delicate taste and a characteristic fruity aroma that makes it extremely palatable. A grape variety of French origin, which arrived in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region in the second half of the 19th century. Its name means ‘wild plant’ and recalls its characteristic aroma. Visually, the resulting wines are straw yellow in colour with greenish reflections, with floral and vegetal notes. Fresh and savoury on the palate, these wines are paired with the best first courses. A white grape variety that comes under the Friuli DOC appellation of the region. The organoleptic characteristics of the wine produced from this grape variety include its straw-yellow colour, an intense and aromatic olfactory profile and a dry, harmonious and intense taste on the palate. A white grape variety of German origin from the Rhine Valley, where it was once grown by the Romans. A noble grape variety that produces some of the most prized grapes for making high-quality white wine. It is balanced and features intense and aromatic aromas. This grape variety originates from a clone of Pinot Nero. Historically, it originated in the Burgundy region and is widely found in the north-eastern regions of Italy. Here, its roots penetrate into a deeply calcareous soil that gives its wines remarkable minerality. It is the only grey grape variety and the wines produced are copper-coloured with a rich, elegant and varied bouquet. A noble grape variety of ancient origin derived from a bud mutation of Pinot Nero. Straw yellow in colour with greenish reflections, with an intense aroma and a subtle dry and velvety taste. Full-bodied with a rather high alcohol content and good acidity, this grape variety is used to make high-quality wines. A black grape variety that is extremely versatile and particularly suited to enhancing the qualities of wines made in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. Elegance, balance and drinkability are the main characteristics that identify the wines made from this grape variety. It features a pale red colour, refined aromas and a smooth lingering aftertaste. A vigorous grape variety that always guarantees good production. It is used to make one of the types of wine under the Friuli DOC appellation. The wines made are red, characteristic, fruity, smooth, persistent and medium-bodied. Ideal enjoyed with red meats, game and mature cheeses. The pure essence of the grape variety and its land: the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. Here, the wine made is a beautiful deep red colour, with aromas typical of the territory and distinct hints of ripe fruit, herbal and spicy notes. On the palate, it is a full-bodied wine, perfect for accompanying simple and elaborate first courses. A native black grape variety that gets its name from the special colouring that the stalk acquires during the grape ripening phase. A historic grape variety, widespread throughout the Friulian territory, bearing its best fruit when grown in the flat countryside. The outcome is a red wine that is dry and full-bodied on the palate, and ready to drink.

Our wine cellar

A place where we love to share our knowledge and love of wine.

In our wine cellar, our deep bond with the land and respect for the earth can be found in every single step. Here, our interpretation of the Friulian territory matures. We enhance its authenticity and character throughout all the wine production stages. Our philosophy is to process only our own grapes, with completely autonomous production.
